Gift Card Drawing Rules:

One entry per household. A household is considered anyone living in the same residence. Each entry must have a full name and address.
Eligible purchases must be made between Friday, November 28, 2025, and Sunday, November 30 by 11:59pm.
Eligible receipts are only allowed from retail or food and beverage businesses in the BID. Click here for a list of Eligible Businesses.
Receipts must be submitted through the online form and cannot be sent in any other way.
Receipts can be from multiple stores to reach the spending levels. There is no minimum receipt amount. A maximum of 10 receipts can be submitted.
Receipt types - please submit photos of the actual hard copy, itemized receipt. Each receipt must be itemized and show the business name, address, sale amount and sale date. Digital receipts can be accepted as long as they contain all the information noted above. Gift card purchases are acceptable but must include the itemized receipt with the full details.
The following cannot be accepted: credit card only receipt, handwritten receipts, or invoices.
Ineligible receipts include purchases from any business outside of the BID or from businesses that are not on the eligible list. Purchases from any non-retail or non-food ad beverage business are ineligible.
BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPT:
- Circle the date and total sale amount and write your initials next to the total sale amount on the receipt. Initials should match your first and last name. Entries that fail to take these steps may be ineligible.
- Check your photo before uploading your receipt to be sure all the required information is visible.
- BID staff will determine if a receipt is eligible by making sure it includes all of the required information - date, business name, purchase amount. If a receipt is missing this information, it will be declined.
Take photos of multiple receipts separately. You may enter a maximum of 10 photos of 10 different receipts to reach the spending levels. Enter all receipts in one submission. Multiple submissions may not be combined, and once a submission has been made, changes or additions are not allowed. Click the + sign to add additional receipts.
When submitting receipts on the online form, enter the exact value of the receipt. Do not round up or down, include the cents in your entry. Include the tax with your amount, but do NOT include the tip amount.
A receipt can only be submitted once by one shopper. Violating this rule will automatically make both shoppers ineligible for the prize drawing.
Please provide a valid email address that you check regularly and a good phone number. We may need to contact you if we have any questions.
Must be 18 or older to participate.
After you submit your receipts, you will be taken to a page confirming your submission was received. You will also receive an email confirming your submission was received. If you do not see the email in your inbox, check your junk and spam folders.
BID staff review every receipt for accuracy after receipts are submitted through the online form.
All entries must be received by Sunday, November 30 at 11:59 pm.
Drawing will be held the following week and winners will be contacted no later than Wednesday, December 3.
Winners will be contacted by email and phone provided on the submission form. The winner will need to reply within 3 business days after being contacted. If we are unable to reach the winners selected, we will re-draw a new winner.
All entries will be added to our email list. You will receive occasional email announcements about promotions and events in Downtown Durango, approximately 3-4 emails per year. We will not share your email with anyone else and will not spam you with regular messages. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Winners will receive a Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift card. Heart of Durango Dollars digital gift cards will be e-mailed to the address provided in the online form. Please note that an email address cannot be changed after your form has been submitted. Make sure your email address is correct on the form, and PLEASE BE SURE TO ENTER A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU CHECK REGULARLY!
BID has the right to decline any entry that does not comply with the guidelines. BID will contact any shopper by email with the reason their submission was declined. PLEASE BE SURE TO ENTER A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU CHECK REGULARLY!
